Is it worthwhile branding your company vehicle? The stats show that when it comes down to Rands and cents, vehicle branding offers one of the lowest costs per view. That’s great news, but the trick here is to get the right kind of attention, don’t you agree?
When it comes to vehicle branding, especially if you have a fleet, there are hundreds of ways to make your brand stand out and get your message across to potential customers. There are also a thousand ways to get it wrong.
We have a few thoughts on this.
Vehicle branding tips for your fleet
Keep it simple
You may have a gazillion products or services, but they simply cannot be all on your van.
Too much information on a vehicle will overload your viewers and they’ll come away with nothing. Something else to remember is that you’re most likely on the road, so they may only have a mere few seconds to glance over at your car or van. What is the one key thought that you want them to take away?
Talk to your audience
In the world of marketing and advertising, it’s been said that when you try to sell to everyone, you end up selling to no-one. The reason for this is simply that we need to target our message to our ideal audience.
As with the point above, our vehicle signage needs to state clearly what we do and who we are and do so in a way that captures the attention of the people we’re most likely to sell to.
If you sell high-end products then that needs to reflect in your choice of imagery, font, and almost certainly – the brand of vehicle that you’re advertising on.
Know your colours and fonts
Take counsel from the professionals who are doing your vehicle branding. Some colours work together, and some don’t. Some look great on paper but are all but illegible from more than five meters away.
Lighter colours on a light vehicle will need borders. Script-style text can be hard to read. This is Vehicle Branding 101 and it’s always wise to check the work done by your chosen company and be sure to follow their advice.
Vehicle branding is an excellent – well – vehicle to get your brand and your message noticed. Give the team at Signkor a call – we’d love to work with you on your next project.
